Our creations

We are committed to slow design and to minimizing our impact on the environment.

LINDELL & Co cushions are entirely hand-embroidered in chain stitch in the Kashmir region of India, a tradition dating back to the 14th century.

LINDELL & Co has chosen to work with highly qualified master embroiderers, capable of providing the tightest stitch. As this know-how is becoming rarer, the creations designed by Gabrielle Soyer are produced in small quantities.

Production begins by dyeing the wool and tracing the design on a cotton canvas. The embroidery is then carried out using a crochet needle called an "ari". The wool threads can cross the canvas up to 20,000 times for a small cushion.

The rhythm of work is specific to each embroiderer, without any cadence being imposed and the production of a cushion requires 3 to 4 days depending on the size.

Before the cushions reach the hands of our customers, each piece is carefully checked.

Quality is our priority, and we're proud to offer exceptional creations year after year.

The LINDELL & Co animal-shaped tapestries are entirely hand-embroidered in chain stitch.

Their story begins when an embroiderer, animal lover, fell under the spell of a real skin. When the hunt for felines was banned in 1970 in India, he decided to recreate them with his own hands. From dyeing to embroidery, he did everything.

Today his great-grandchildren perpetuate this know-how and honor his memory by preserving the highest quality of craftsmanship.

Their particularity comes from the narrow stitch, realized by highly skilled artisans who are able to reach a high precision in the details of the design and in the colors.

The production of a tapestry takes about 2 months and the production pace is specific to each embroiderer, never exceeding 4 to 5 hours of work per day.
